Nurture, who are we?

Nurture is an Egg Donor Program that assists Recipients who are in need of an egg donor. Nurture specialises in finding and matching altruistic donors with a specific recipient in South Africa. Nurture is a registered company under the laws of South Africa. Registered office is 29 Belvedere Road, Belvedere Estate, Durbanville, Cape Town, South Africa, 7500. What information do we collect from our clients and the reason we collect it?

Nurture obtains information on Recipients and Donors from various sources:-

Website: When you use our website to complete a registration form or send us a direct query from our website to our email address. Recipients and Donors will provide personal information on our registration forms which will include but is not limited to, your name, address, contact details (home, work, mobile and email address), bank account for purposes of invoicing and reimbursements and your IP address once registration has taken place.

Email: When you email us directly to obtain information from us about the services that we offer, we will collect your personal information such as your name, email address, contact details.

Google/Facebook and Twitter: We use social network sites to allow for communication with our clients and to assist us with user experience. As we do not control these social media websites, we suggest you read their cookie policy to see which ones they use and how to manage them.

What we do with the collected information.

Nurture will establish individual profiles on the donors which are kept on a secured database which can be viewed by recipients who require donated eggs to be able to conceive.

What measures we have in place to keep it secure.

Our information is stored on a secure VPS server secured by firewall and SSL encryption hosted at Hetzner in Germany (https://www.hetzner.com/)

Under what circumstances we disclose this information to other parties.

We have ensured that Recipients and Donors provide consent prior to Nurture disclosing any personal information to 3rd parties.

Recipient Agreement/Consent

Intended Parents agree that the details of the donation (including but not limited to: number of eggs retrieved, number of resulting embryos, confirmation of ongoing clinical pregnancy, live birth etc.) will be shared between the Intended Parents’ treating doctor / clinic and Nurture in order for Nurture to maintain accurate records. Nurture agrees to keep any identifying information about the Intended Parents private and confidential.

Donor Agreement/Consent

I hereby give my permission that the details of my donation, including but not limited to the number of eggs retrieved, quality of eggs retrieved, number of resulting embryos, confirmation of ongoing clinical pregnancy, live birth etc. will be shared between the treating doctor / clinic and Nurture in order for Nurture to maintain accurate records.

I hereby give my permission that Nurture, its employees or an appointed provider or professional may contact me in the future to request further information or feedback about my donation.

I hereby give my permission that feedback about my medical and psychological evaluations may be shared between the treating therapist, doctor or clinic and Nurture in order for Nurture to maintain accurate records. Nurture agrees to keep this information private and confidential.

SASREG

Nurture supports the egg donation guidelines and ethics outlined by the Southern African Society of Reproductive Medicine and Gynaecological Endoscopy Regulations (SASREG).

Nurture shares SASREG’s concerns insofar as the health and safety of egg donors are concerned. Nurture is strongly against the actions of agencies and/or individuals who operate irresponsible cross-border egg donation programs. Nurture adheres to the egg donation laws, regulations and guidelines provided by The National Heath Act, as supported by the SASREG guidelines. SASREG approved clinics

When a Recipient and Donor are matched, Nurture will pass on information pertaining to the Recipients names and contact details and the Donors clinic profile (which pertains to information provided by the Donor on the Nurture online application form), to the clinic that they will be having their treatment at. Once this information has been passed on by Nurture, the private policy of the particular clinic will become responsible for the secure keeping of the transferred data.

Nurture Website

Nurture uses a 3rd party WordPress.com, to manage our website. Visitors to our website will need to provide a name and email address if they wish to post a comment on our website page.

Nurture’s website does contain links to other websites. The private policy on our website only refers to Nurture so if you are using the links and browsing other websites, we encourage you to read the private policies on those particular sites as Nurture cannot be held responsible for their privacy policies or practices.

Data Retention

We retain Personal Data we collect from you where we have an ongoing legitimate business need to do so (to provide you with a Service you have requested). When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your Personal Data, we will either delete or anonymize it or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives or we are required to maintain the information by law), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.

Transferring your information outside South Africa

If you use our services while you are outside South Africa, your information may be transferred outside South Africa in order to provide you with those services.
