ROLE REQUIREMENT: DONOR SUPPORT - GAUTENG
Nurture is looking for a competent person based in Gauteng to fulfil the role of Donor Support: Assisting with the administration and support of new and matched egg donors.
SCOPE
The Donor Support person will be responsible for ensuring that all matched Nurture egg donors are supported throughout the donation process: from pre-match, throughout the donation process: from initials to egg retrieval, and post-egg retrieval as well. This involves making sure donors reply to messages and emails, make their appointments, attend their appointments on time, follow instructions from the clinic, take their medication as instructed, etc. Basically, holding the donor’s hand and being their support person from the start to the finish of the donation.
The Donor Support person will work with fellow team members, in various roles – as a support role, reporting to recipient support for operational matters, and as a lead, providing direction to other team members in the various roles. We work as a team, and we assist each other no matter what our job description is.
TYPE OF WORK
The role is a mixture of ‘admin’ type duties, as well as ‘people’ type roles.
The role requires good interpersonal skills, as you will be communicating and dealing with many important stakeholders: donors, clinics, doctors, psychologists, travel agents, team members, and others.
Your admin skills will also be called on, as all the admin, record-keeping, and portal updating needs to be done accurately, timeously, and according to Nurture's well-defined processes and procedures.
The right person should be the kind of person who takes ownership of their tasks and does not require constant supervision. With the nature of small businesses, it is imperative that the person be a self-starter and be able/willing to complete tasks quickly in order to provide required support for our donors, and for the business to thrive.
COMPETENCIES AND CHARACTERISTICS REQUIRED:
- Excellent interpersonal skills: Work well with stakeholders, including donors, clinics, other professionals, and fellow team members.
- Able to work independently & from home: Be trustworthy, responsible & mature.
- Strong admin skills: Attention to detail & methodical.
- Eloquent, literate and have a good command of the English language
- Computer literate
- Be energetic, driven, passionate & able to work under pressure
- Industry experience is preferable.
WORKING HOURS & LOCATION
The role is a full-time, work-from-home position. While the hours are relatively flexible, at least 80% of the work day needs to take place during normal office hours in order to communicate with clinics / doctors / team members, and other providers who work normal office hours.
If required, you will need to be at the fertility clinics to meet with the donors as part of your role of donor support.
