Up until very recently, Nurture ran one of the most successful surrogacy programs in South Africa, bringing together many happy future parents and their wonderfully generous surrogates.  On the 01st April 2010, new legislation was introduced that changed the face of surrogacy in South Africa.

The new law has many positive aspects, however one of the sad aspects (at least for us!) is that surrogacy agencies are no longer allowed to fulfil their extremely useful role of recruiting, screening and matching surrogate mothers with intended parents.  It is therefore with deep sadness that we have closed our Nurture Surrogacy program down.

So what will we do with all our free time?  Dedicate it to all the wonderful women out there who want to know more about surrogacy and whether surrogacy is right for them – for free!  We have built up a wealth of information and experience about surrogacy in South Africa and now it is time to give back to our community.

If you are future parents in need of a surrogate mother, unfortunately we won’t be able to offer you a surrogate, but we can certainly refer you to a fertility clinic close to where you live who will be able to give you some advice and support.
