Nurture Egg Donor Program

Find An Egg Donor

Dreamcatcher-03

Dear Future Parents…

Most of you will have arrived here after a long, hard journey and we want to give you a big old hug.

Infertility sucks, we wouldn’t wish it on our worst enemy.

Having personal experience of struggling to conceive (between the lot of us we have done over 40 of our own IVF’s), we get you. We understand your journey. Here at Nurture, we won’t tell you to ‘just relax’ nor will we tell you to just ‘go on holiday and you will get pregnant’. Instead we will hold your hand throughout the process, all the way until you get your ‘happily ever after’.

We know this is a big, big thing for you, and we are sure you have lots of questions which we plan to answer on this page.

Now that we have that out of the way, let’s get down to the reason why you clicked here in the first place:

Choosing your donor!

How Choosing Your Egg Donor Works

At Nurture we understand that finding out you need donor eggs can be a devastating and difficult realisation to come to. Mourning the loss of that DNA is an important part of the process of coming to terms with the concept of donor eggs. And it is a process which we urge you to work through with someone you trust! For some people it is an easier decision:

My eggs = little chance at a baby,

Donor eggs = great chance at having a baby.

However you feel about donor eggs, once you do decide to go ahead, you will feel a million times lighter and filled with new hope.

To help you work through the steps of choosing a donor we’ve put together this handy step by step guide which will lead you through the whole process, explain all the technicalities like travel and costs and provide you with a plan.

Step 1: Viewing our donors

Visit our donor portal where you can take a look at all of our beautiful, smart, kind and wonderful donors.

Step 2: Registering with Nurture

You will be asked to register with your email address and a password.

Once you verify your details (a verification link will be emailed to you), you will be able to browse the list and find an egg donor. If you need any help with this process, we are just an email away – please email us straight away to info@nurture.co.za and we will help.

Please note that all our donations are totally anonymous and no identifying information of either recipient or donor will be made public. South African legislation prohibits any donor agency operating within South Africa from showing adult photos of the donors.

Step 3: Reserving your donor

Once you’ve been through all the profiles and you’ve found your ideal donor, you are able to reserve your donor by following the prompts online which includes payment.

A quick reference with regards to costs:

R21,500 for South African residents (Rate includes VAT, excludes any donor travel)

R23,500 for non-South African residents (Rate includes access to International Benefits Program*, excludes any donor travel)

Please note that we are only able to ‘hold’ our donors for a period of three months, which means that the donor’s treatment cycle must have started within three months of being chosen.

Step 4: Starting the egg donation process

Once payment is received, the donor will then undergo a medical and psychological assessment in order to determine her readiness to go ahead with the cycle. Once she has been given the all clear, the clinic will contact you to arrange your treatment plan. which includes appointments, medication and the syncing of both of your cycles.

Please be assured of our constant care and support, and here at Nurture we all wish you lots of luck and love on the road ahead and we hope that your journey is a short one filled with sweet success.
